Freya – Beyond the Mat is a story about growing up, about the sacrifices, the silent battles, and the small moments that shape who we become. Over the course of a year, we followed Freya and her family, her incredibly dedicated parents and her two sisters, across four continents.

We traveled alongside Freya to all her major tournaments, witnessing her evolution as an athlete firsthand. From Dublin to the USA, Brazil, Portugal, and the United Arab Emirates, we saw the dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering support her family poured into her journey.

This film was made with deep respect, passion, and love, and we couldn’t be prouder to finally share this film with the world.
